  • Master's degree, preferably in gender studies and international development.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the institutional, legal and policy frameworks at national and local level that impact on the status of women in Nicaragua.
  • Experience in project cycle appraisal, management and monitoring. Documenting succes stories.
  • Experience in gender and women’s empowerment in Nicaragua, gender analysis and integration at the community level, implementing gender initiatives and strategies, sensitizing stakeholders on gender issues, mainstreaming gender.
  • Fluent in english/spanish.


Design and develop project strategies in the areas of gender and women´s empowerment.
Manage implementation & management of assigned activities related to gender and women´s empowerment.
Manage technical assistance and capacity development to project partners.
